If you're among the flock that thinks this will be your last NYE, whatever will you wear?! We're predicting this year's hot commodity will be some combination of black and gold. We can't think of a better way to spice up basic black than by adding warm gold tones. The pairing was all over the runways in everything from gold pants and an inky sweater at Vivienne Tam, to a gold-sequined shift at Jill Stuart.
Our fave is this Jill Stuart dress that goes for the gold with a subtle leaf print—kind of like this
frock from Voom by Joy Han, on sale here.

Sometimes, well, you have to show a little bit of skin to get things done. (Relax, we're not talking Erin Brokovitch.) What we are saying, however, is that we love the ladylike lace that came down the Fall 2012 runway, leaving little to the imagination in a refined way. Proceed with caution, though: it doesn't take much for this look to go from sultry vamp to Morticia Adams, so lace up in moderation.
Get the look from Tory Burch's runway with this intricate lace blouse in a simple silhouette.

The general style consensus has always been brights for spring, darks for fall. Not this year! Designers took spring's pastels and kicked them up a notch, making for a fall palette full of turquoise, chartreuse, tangerine, and azure. (That's teal, neon green, orange,
and bright blue, to the lay person.) Mixed and matched, or one standout piece, it's a style
statement we can't wait to make.
