Summer Beauty: What's in Your Beach Bag?

Memorial Day. The siren call of a three day weekend always gets us in the mood for the beach. With summer hot on the heels of this national holiday, we’re looking for ways to keep ourselves looking fabulous, even when we’re sunning at the beach in our bare beauty minimum. Here are a few suggestions to pack in your beach tote when you’re out and about!

1. Sunscreen
This is a given. Every day when you leave the house, apply a little SPF to your face. It protects your skin from harsh UV rays! Need a little coverage? Try a BB cream with an SPF of 35 or higher. It smooths out your skin tone and keeps your skin safe & healthy.

2. Bronzer
A little bronzer goes a long way when you’re attempting a “sunkissed” look. Dabbing a little bronzer on your jawbone and on the bridge of your nose (all places the sun would hit you directly) flatter your face & give it a summertime glow.

3. Straw hat
“But, a hat isn’t a beauty product,” you say. Wrong! A hat is essential for summer beauty. It all revolves around protecting your skin! Throw a stylish chapeau on your noggin to protect not only your face from the sun, but your scalp as well! We promise your epidermis will thank you.

4. An All in One Compact
When you’re heading out to your post-beach party, clambake or cookout, an all-in-one compact has you covered (literally) from cheeks to eyes to lips.

5. Lip gloss or lip balm w/ SPF
If you’re headed to the beach for a long day of reading, lounging & water frolicking, lipgloss or lip balm with an SPF protects your lips from chapping & keeps them looking fresh all day.

6. Mascara
Just a few strokes on your lashes gives you an instant beauty refresh after a day in the sun. Need a little something extra? Put mascara on an eyeliner brush and spread on your lash line for an extra nighttime oomph.

Today’s blog highlights the glamorous, modern mom.
