Today, we’re highlighting the playful mom. The mom who would never leave the house without lipstick and a pair of earrings, who wiped all the goop off our faces with her ever present handkerchief & who stuns in florals, lace & cardigans.

Of the huge trends that we are loving this spring (including flirty florals and pretty pastels) the one that needs to find its way into your warm-weather wardrobe right now is pairing pointy toe pumps with jeans. The reason: wearing a pair of killer heels with denim is the perfect way to dress up an otherwise casual look. It's chic in an unexpected way and has become a street style staple for the fashion elite.

Hello everyone. My name is Christine, and I'm from the Netherlands, work as a stylist and I have my own personal style blog called Fash n Chips. I post daily about my own outfits, wish lists and other interests.

My style could probably be best described as quite classic, simple and sometimes a little tomboyish. For example, I wear a lot of boyfriend jeans and sneakers. Comfort is very important to me, and so I’ll admit that when I'm home by myself I'm usually dressed in sweatpants and a big hoodie. However, my favorite way to make a look more feminine is to add a pair of pointy pumps… it's crazy how a simple pair of shoes can instantly make me feel and look more dressed up!

That's why pointy pumps paired with denim has been one of my favorite go-to looks over the past few years. It's chic, but has just the right amount of casualness for me because of the denim. I usually add a blazer or coat, or if I need it to look more relaxed, a sweatshirt. My absolute favorite pair of pointy pumps is a black suede pair I got from Zara a few seasons ago, and I'm currently on the hunt for a good pair of white pointy pumps as I think they are just perfect for spring and summer.
