Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! While some of us will be doing the romance thing with our significant others (and we have just the glam dresses and accessories for you to wear in our Valentine's Date Night sale), many are heading out with their very best lady friends for a night on the town. No matter your V-Day plans, a classic cat-eye is always the thing. Hope, an ideeli makeup artist, has compiled a step-by-step tutorial to get a cat-eye even Audrey would be proud of.
1. First, start with liquid liner or gel liner. Using an angled brush, start from the inner eye & begin to draw a thin line gradually along the lash line.2. Once you begin to get to the outer edge of the lash line, draw an upward wing, extending the line upwards toward your temple.
3. Work your way to the outer edge of your eye to create the wing tip, gradually increasing the line to get a little thicker at the outer edges. This will help to create a more dramatic look.
4. If your cat-eye looks a little messy, have no fear! Simply take a pointy Q-tip and a little makeup remover and brush over the edge of the cat-eye to make your point more precise. New to cat-eye? Skip the liquid liner and opt for a gel liner with an angle brush. This gives you more control and creates less of a mess.
Ready to be daring? Try a soft colored shadow like a champagne or rose gold and pair with a bold lip! Or opt for a stand-out shade like gold or purple - just be sure to keep the rest of your makeup very soft.

Hey ideeli team!
This is irrelevant to your post but I just wanted to tell you how much i LOVE your customer service! When I email you, you reply in a timely fashion - sometimes with super speed! And you are always positive, and I have not had any negative experiences with you. You make shopping @ ideeli really great. I returned something and that whole process went so smoothly, and I was able to exchange it for a smaller size!
(The item was one of the featured pairs of black Tretorn rainboots!)
I love them so much and they've been such a help this rainy season.
So I just wanted to drop this little love note on the blog to let you know that after years of bad experiences with customer service in stores and online, you have been a breath of fresh air!
Haha happy early valentine's day, ideeli!
