1 Desigual Sweater 3 Ways

The Desigual fun continues! To celebrate our Desigual sales, we called on one of our favorite bloggers to show the endless styling possibilities of Desigual's brilliantly bold look. Heather Epstein is the brains, beauty and fashion expertise behind Fashionista NY Girl. On her blog, Heather shows readers how to look and feel their most stylish, so we knew she'd be just the girl to mix it up with Desigual. To prove her knack for style and just how versatile Desigual is, she wore one Desigual sweater three ways and gave us all the details!

Heather: Some women shy away from bold prints and color, while some who wear it proudly! I, myself, am somewhere in between. I love color and I love prints, but I shy away from mixing prints and color together. I was introduced to Desigual by my friends at ideeli and marveled over all the bold colors and patterns. I decided to give the brand a try! I spent some time thinking of ways to incorporate their bold designs into my wardrobe and my lifestyle, and I soon realized that what I thought would be a challenge didn’t seem so intimidating after all. ideeli tasked me with styling one Desigual item, the Single Sweater, three ways. I had a blast coming up with various outfits and new ways I could rock my clothes! After mixing and matching with almost everything in my closet, I finalized three looks – an outfit for work, a relaxed weekend look and something a little flirtier for a date night! See below for my three outfits and styling tips. Keep in mind that when shopping prints, have fun!

For Work:
There is nothing like a cozy sweater to warm you up during the cold winter months. To pull off a sweater with a bold print at work, like this one from Desigual, the most important thing is to keep in mind what you will pair it with on the bottom. A simple cigarette pant (a pant that is straight legged and tapers off at the ankle) will help give a polished feel to the look as well as play with the length of the sweater. Keep in mind the color of your pants - you don’t want to go too bold for an office setting. For a more basic look, pair a funky sweater, like this one from Desigual with a classic black cigarette pants to tame the look. If you want to spice it up a bit, try selecting a color from the sweater like I did with the mustard yellow. As for accessories, you don’t want to overwhelm the look so keep accessories sleek and simple. A black bag and basic pump (or flats if you’re a no-heel-woman) will help pull the overall look together for a chic yet professional work outfit.

For the Weekend:
I’m a no-fuss type of gal when it comes to the weekend. Going out for the day to me means throwing on my favorite pair of jeans and a sweater. This fun Desigual sweater is perfect! It has enough oomph on its own that all you need is your favorite pair of skinny jeans and black boots. Pair up a slouchy beanie and sunglasses to keep the look casual and cool.

For Date Night:
Let’s be honest, sometimes our significant others don’t understand our fashion choices. We want to WOW them but not scare them, especially on our date nights. You can still show off your fun side by wearing your favorite printed top, just make sure to pair it with something fairly basic so you don’t scare your man away. For example, pair a sweater with bold prints with a mini skirt to show off some leg but keep the color basic, like black. The skirt will show off your curves and the sweater will show off your fun side. Play with accessories and match them with a color or two from the sweater. Pair your look with a fun heel - something colorful or that has a detail accent like a bow. As for jewelry, a simple necklace works perfectly with a V-neckline. Trust me – follow these simple tips and you’ll have your significant other swooning all night!
