Featured MBFW Designer: Vivienne Tam

We love that moment when fashion transports you to another time and place. That skirt that makes you feel like a princess, the sweater that takes you to a ski lodge in Vail, you know, escapism at it's finest. That's what we love about Vivienne Tam. On the scene since Spring 1994, her East-meets-West philosophy takes us straight to her native China in a modern, edgy way. And it's not just the dresses, which often feature mandarin collars and slim silhouettes common in Eastern culture, but the prints. They are otherworldly and bold, with all the decadence of ancient Chinese dynasties. Besides, you've got to respect a designer so ingrained in her culture and aesthetic that she showed her 2002 collection on the the Great Wall of China. Talk about the world as your runway!
We love the reds, golds and pearly whites on this decadent draped confection on sale today. Subtly sexy, it's the perfect way to snag a piece of the Tam dynasty for your wardrobe.
