All Hail Grace Jones

Back when Madonna was sleeping around the east village and before Lady Gaga was a twinkle in her father's eye, there was Grace Jones, the original pop siren with multiple personas and outlandish costumes. Her androgynous appearance, flat top hairstyle, and bad ass attitude influenced the cross-dressing movement of the 1980s . The 61 year old Jones performed last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC where she mesmerized an audience that included Bette Midler and Rosario Dawson.  Not familiar with Grace?
