I was in Avignon, France the home of Christian Audigier in April (2009). Christian was there to celebrate his birthday with the people he grew up with. He threw a wonderful party in the center of town and everyone was invited. I was a tourist from America who happened to be there, not knowing about this event in advance. My friends and I met Christian briefly. I think I'm a good judge of character and my only impression of him and the event was that it was a gift from him to the place and people who gave him his start. It was not a self-serving event, it didn't need to take place at all, and it must have cost a lot to throw! My cheers to Christian for remebering his friend, Michael Jackson, in such a public way when he must be suffering inside over this personal loss.
