Pretty On The Pavement: Gigi is BACK

It has been a long time since we photographed our favorite intern turned merch assisant Gigi so today we dragged her onto the street. Below is a G- Chat we had with Ms G where she describes her look:

Blog: How would you describe your look?

Gigi: hmmmm good question

Blog: How would you describe your pants?

Gigi: It's definitely structural lol

Blog: True.. how do you feel in that jacket?

Gigi: I feel pretty bold in the jacket

Blog: Like butt kicking Pat Benatar bold. Sum up your look in a few quick words

Gigi: Well let's see... It's an updated 80s inspired fall look. I don't normally wear pink, but I think the coral shade suits the fall season and my usually flushed cheeks.

2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

Victoria Secret is not only about angels wearing wings- sometimes they throw a space cadet into the mix. Last night was the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, featuring the Black Eyed Peas at the New York National Guard Armory in NYC. One of our favorite looks was the nod to Barbarella above.

Chanel & Forever 21 Launch Magazines

Magazine publishers might be facing more competition for print readers. Retailers are now getting into the glossy game. Today, Forever 21 launched their budget-conscious fashion, beauty, and lifestyle magazine. Their "book" is available in all Forever 21 locations and is free with a purchase of $40 or more. The magazine will also be available online starting Monday.

On a high end note, Chanel is capturing their brand's couture essence with their hot off the press mag, 31 Rue Cambon . Karl Lagerfeld developed the concept for the ongoing project and entrusted Olivier Zahm, editor of Purple magazine to handle art direction. Like Forever 21, this glossy is only available in Chanel stores but we look forward to the day when we get flip through both mags while on the grocery store check out line.

By French Law, the new vintage Beaujolais Nouveau is always released on the third Thursday of November - just in time for Thanksgiving dinner for us Yankees. Unlike most wines, Beaujolais Nouveau is drunk young - within 12 months of bottling. This year, 2009, is supposed to be one of the finest years for the vin primeur. In anticipation of the wine's official release date, Franck Deboeuf, of Gearges Deboeuf Winery decided to celebrate the release of his nouveau in New York City. In case you are wondering... Beaujolais Nouveau pairs beautifully with Turkey.

Paris Wants To Do Your Hair

Paris Hilton, looked like a sugary sweet confection at the launch party for her new hair styling tools at The Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills last night. No word yet on where her hair gear will be sold. Sister Nikki, in sharp contrast to Paris looked fab choosing to limit candy pink to her nails.

Tim Burton Tribute, Mary-Kate & Anna

As we mentioned the other day, last night was the Museum Of Modern Art Film Benefit: A Tribute To Tim Burton. The Olsen dames and Anna Wintour were present. We are in LOVE with Mary-Kate's shoes, just wished she would stop hiding under large handbags and yards of fabric. Ms. Wintour, well, she always looks spectacular.
