Big In Japan, The Bikini Jean

CategoryShop & Tell

Normally you don’t need a bikini wax to wear a pair of jeans.  The Bikini Jean by Sanna’s unfortunately, changes things.  Until recently, Sanna's, a Japanese company, was only known for creating the lowest – low rise jeans in the world (which also requires a wax).  A spokesperson for Sanna’s states that the new bikini pant has caught the attention of the bold Japanese women. Is bold code word for something I don’t know about?

Oh my.

This is quite the trashy look! It reminds me a bit of the nineties music videos when the likes of Christina Aguilera & Britney Spears (I do love them though, don't get me wrong ;] ) wore bikinis/underwear over their jeans. Uh-uh honey!

This was interesting, though!! =]

Bisous,
La C.

I think it's telling that they're showing the pants on some sort of CGI figure; not even on an actual model.

I guess those who have a tramp stamp can now show it off in all its glory.

With these and other Sanna styles, what is the point? Keeping one's legs warm? It certainly won't keep one's privates *ahem* private, so I can only assume there is another purpose besides displaying them to the world.

I don't want you to think I'm a prude (although I will not be paying that much for so little--if you take my meaning) so I'll leave you with a couple of pros and cons:
Pros:
1) No more gapping at the waist!
2) No worries about whether back pockets make one's back end look big.

Cons:
1) Think of hanging out in a bar. One is chatting with friends when suddenly, an ice cube (or other foreign object) is dropped into the convenient *cough* opening at the back. I'd like to point out that the frequency of this occurrence will correspond directly with how late it becomes.
2) One quick tug and one might be pant-less just as so many high school boys over the years.
3) Where does one put one's hanky?
4) How many vendors, besides bar owners, will welcome (pardon me, I was going to say ladies as I had assumed these were only for ladies but that is probably incorrect) anyone "wearing" these in their establishment? I imagine Baskin Robbins would have something to say about someone click-clacking in pumps and these?

Still, this is just a style choice. If you choose to wear them, more power to you. It comes down to how one chooses attire for specific situations to show their personality within the bounds of society.

There is only one word for those who wear this type of jean, and it certainly isn't "bold"....

I always thought that the Japanese girls and women were very proper and do not show much of their privates. Boy, these jeans sure surprised me!! I don't know does anyone agree with me?

nobody ever said this sexy look could be worn by all & it really shouldn't. But, there are toned girls that could pull this off at a beach party with a bikini top & nice white button down. We're talking Miami or Brazil Chic...only if you r tite & tan.........
